It's been 2 years since we had a chance to hang out on Karakung Drive by the creek and sell stuff. This is typically our 2nd largest fundraiser behind Haverford Township Day, if not the largest. So living without it was putting a crimp in our style. Thanks to all those who donated sodas, lend their coolers/etc, or volunteered their time to man the booth.

We had some hiccups in our planning as the new Delco Health Dept. made it slightly more challenging to sell unpackaged food. So we veered away from soft pretzels, which always pale in comparison to the Troop's funnel cakes anyway. We sold meat sticks and snack bags, but the key was the drinks. Our neighboring troops both sell food so their customers come to us for liquid refreshment.
The boys get to play at sales people, they use their cuteness to lure in customers and test their math skills making change. It's work mixed with fun and they often wind up wading in the creek for fun afterwards.
