Our annual Winter Holiday party was held outside at the Meadow campfire in the Haverford Reserve. We made wreaths out of real evergreen branches and swaths of Holly. There really aren't many evergreens in the reserve but we made it work and they turned out very professional-looking in the end. 22 new Scouts and 2 returning Tigers earned their Bobcat rank for learning the Scout Oath and Law. Not all were present to receive it though, so we'll make sure to get those out to the rest soon.
We had a nice bonfire to wipe the chill away on a surprisingly sunny December day. The Cubs roasted marshmallows to make S'mores and drank hot cocoa to warm their insides as well. Happy Holidays to all and a Happy New Year. We have a lot more great events coming in 2023 as this Scout season is less than halfway through.
