The 2024 Haverford Township Day was one for the record books. We more than made up for a disappointing Heritage Festival as the whole of Havertown came out on this gorgeous saturday afternoon with a hunger in their bellies and sausage on their minds. But this day is more than just a fundraiser. It's a FUN-raiser.

The kids got together up by Oakmont to get their latest neckerchiefs and slides from Cubmaster Garrett. They got the great group shot seen here (and remember that's only a small portion of this year's pack potentially). They marched down Darby carrying the flags, scooping up candy, and chanting We. Are. 4-6-2!
Then the kids who elected to man the booth enjoyed making change, slinging sodas, and taking orders—all with smiles on their faces. Many didn't want to leave when their shifts were over so they stuck around to help out other friends. As a results, we sold out of sausage sandwiches by the 1pm hour. And were down to 4 types of soda, no waters, by 3pm. That's despite plenty of competition. Hotdogs sold out right next to us. The Firehouse was also selling sausage and they marked down their cost to compete with us. Centrellas also had it on the menu. But Chef Rich Pepino kept up the pace with all of them, along with Sous Chef Tim Johansen. They were working at a blistering pace and I'm sure it took iitstoll and they were glad to get done early. Thank you sincerely guys.
